A MATTER OF DISCLOSURE | |
'This was an English novel from an author I had not previously read and a great read for anyone who enjoys legal thrillers. The characters are well developed, the dialog between them is realistic, and the plot is well engineered—not too simple but also not so complicated that you need a spreadsheet to keep everything straight.' 'I loved the book, it was right up my street. It was certainly a page turner and kept me gripped throughout. It is very well written, the storyline was fantastic and you get to know the characters really well. I'm looking forward to reading the second book in the series.' Milka, Shropshire, UK
'Loved it! So enjoyed seeing karma at it's finest. I enjoyed seeing the interactions between the characters, fun to think how would I handle having my life turned upside down?' Tina, USA
'An excellent first novel. A complex plot which unravelled towards a very exciting conclusion. Looking forward to reading more about Maggie Bainbridge in the next books in the series.' John,Cheshire, UK
THE APHRODITE SUICIDES
'I absolutely love these characters. Maggie, Jimmy and Frank have a great chemistry. In this installment there are many story lines that kept you wondering if it would all tie together or not. We meet some great characters that you will either love or love to hate. A very well written novel. While the story was nicely wrapped up in the end, there is still a question left unanswered. I hope there will be at least one more story so we can get the answer..' Ann,USA
'Maggie, Jimmy, and Frank are back in the 3rd book of the Maggie Bainbridge series and I can't deny it, I just love these characters! This time they are investigating a series of possible suicides. This is a great mystery chock full of peripheral characters that I care about and / or hate in just a scene or two. The crimes are wrapped up nicely at the end but I hope there's a fourth book because the ending left an important question unanswered. There's lots more to say but I don't want to give anything away. Just pick it up and give it a chance. I read all three books in order but you don't have to. Each book can be enjoyed on its own.

THE LEONARDO MURDERS | |
Maggie Bainbridge, cancel-culture victim and former attorney, her partner former Army officer Jimmie Stewart and his brother DI Frank Stewart return in their second book and it’s another humdinger. Children are being kidnapped and soap opera stars are being murdered. How does this all relate to the missing prenup of soap opera actress Melody Montague? I greatly admire the way that the author is able to tie all the threads of his stories together, as well as introducing many different characters who all are clearly defined individuals.' Geri,USA
'I must admit that I am a fan of British dramas and crime procedural novels so I couldn't wait to start this book. The Leonardo Murders is the second book in the Maggie Bainbridge series and I highly recommend reading the first book, A Matter of Disclosure, if you like this one.
The story revolves around private investigator Maggie Bainbridge, her partner Jimmy Stewart, and Jimmy's police inspector brother Frank Stewart. They end up working on a couple of cases in this book (kidnapped children and a string of murders).
I adore the main characters! Maggie's bond with the brothers has deepened since the first book and the way they talk to and tease each other is a hoot. I also love the peek into Frank's work relationships with his boss Jill, and tech guru Eleanor.'
